Description

Here's the debut of my Cullen model from the Dragon Age games. This time around instead of rendering the image in colour and then converting it to B&W in Photoshop I rendered it directly in Black and White using the Agfapan APX 400 Film Response. I must say I like it a lot, and hope the LuxRender people will make more B&W film responses in the future.

Here's a WIP of the model:

Sculpted in ZBrush and Hexagon, scene set-up in DAZ Studio Pro, exported and rendered in LuxRender using the Reality plug-in.

Here are some of my other Dragon Age fan art:

First, I think you've done a fantastic job with the model. That hair texture is incredible and a wonderful translation of what we're shown in DA II, and his features are spot on. But really, it's what you've managed with the mood of the piece that has me adoring this. Introspection is so difficult to capture without a suggestion of vacancy, and yet in this piece it's so clear that Cullen is a thinking man. A burdened man. Even had I not known the background information on the character, I would've felt all of that just from what I could see here. Very, very well done.
